Scream Sorbet, based out of Oakland, CA, made some of the best sorbet I’ve ever had in my life. Their sorbets were smooth, not overly sweetened like many other fruit-based sorbets, and of course vegan, gluten-free, and delicious! They recently closed the Oakland scoop shop due to a silly permitting issue.

How I enjoyed a mini scoop of the creamy pistachio sorbet, and sometimes on more adventurous days the saffron flavor, on those mildly warm San Francisco Farmers Market days out on the pier overlooking the Bay Bridge. I hope Scream Sorbet is able to make a few batches of their nut-based delights to sell at Farmers Markets in the Bay again soon!
